The computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if the display cannot show errors or problems. This series of beeps, called a beep code, can be used to help identify various problems.

1. 3 means 3-3-3-3...That is 3 beeps and 3 beeps and ...: Endless looping until user presses the power button to shut down the system.
2. The delay between each beep is 300ms. The delay between each set of beeps is 3 sec, and the beep sound lasts 300ms.
3. After each beep and each set of beeps, the BIOS should detect if the user presses the power button, if so, BIOS will jump out from looping and execute the normal shutdown process and power system.

In your case, you have said that your computer beeps twice. 2 beeps means No RAM Detected/No memory detected.

A memory module may be faulty or improperly seated. Reinstall the memory modules and, if necessary, replace them.

To troubleshoot, please turn off your computer and then unplug it from the power source.

• Remove RAM stick(s)
• Remove your Hard Disk and clean all the chords including your Motherboard
• Put back the RAM stick(s) and your hard disk but not including the new hard drive
• Plug your computer into the power source and then turn it ON.

If your computer turns on, then your new hard disk is faulty. Do not attach it again because it will only cause problems. You may take advantage of its warranty to have it replaced.

However, if your computer still doesn't turn ON, you should hear another beep. Please count it and let us know how many beeps.
