Autonomy Interwoven FileSite is a document management client that helps companies attains control on their sensitive business contents. Autonomy Interwoven DeskSite is software designed just like FileSite. However, compared to FileSite, DeskSite is more intuitive, it incorporates WorkSite document management utility into Microsoft Office functionalities. It has Streamlined Profiling Capabilities that classifies e-mail messages and documents that have metadata fields designed for specific organizational needs. Profile information is automatically copied from the folder without the need for manual data entry. It also features document relationships wherein links are established between appendices and documents like contract and cover letter. Its’ access lists allows direct access on lists of last 40 documents edited, documents checked out and last 10 searches done. It also promotes audit trails and version control which tracks history of documents such as activities applied on the document, for legal or regulatory purposes. DeskSite has add-on modules providing integration with GroupWise e-mail and Lotus Notes and users can profile e-mails and attachments.

Autonomy Interwoven WorkSite is one of the software developed by Interwoven that simply saves files in a WorkSpace which is an electronic file folder; WorkSpace is the virtual correspondent of the paper file folder. FileSite offers e-mail management with complete WorkSite functionality coming from Microsoft Outlook interface and enables piling of attachments and e-mail messages in matter-related folders.
