XMMS

XMMS was developed by the XMMS Team and it is an audio player written in C and C++ language and is mainly used for UNIX systems. This media player that stands for X Multimedia System plays various media files such as MP3, WAV, MOD and other audio formats. It can also use plug-ins in order to play more medial file formats. The XMMS is much like Winamp but it is not modeled from Winamp. XMMS was also created for music or audio playback but because of its ability to support plug-ins, it can also be used for video playback.
