RootsMagic is a genealogy application used in researching, organizing, tracking, printing and sharing family history. Users can create a family tree utilizing a set of tools for designing which is provided by the software. It features a Timeline View where users can input updates about events in their lives as well as the other members of their family, and it has Media Tagging for tagging people, families, sources and places. The Research Manager helps in keeping track of goals, results and sources that the users collected about a person, a family member or a place. CountyCheck helps in confirming the existence of a country, state or a county from a multi-national database and makes the necessary correction if there are any errors.
