Cal3d2ogre
The Cal3d2ogre is an exporter that converts geometry, skeletons, animations and materials from binary and
XML CAL3D files. Files such as cmf, csf, caf, crf, xmf, xsf, xaf, xrf, Ogre3D mesh, skeleton and material file formats without the need to install another tool. It can perform parses on CAL#D config files, it outputs Binary and
XML files, and it gives the option to keep +Z axis as up. Cal3d2ogre keeps UV mapping, converts normals and LODs, and can perform manual scaling on the resulting mesh. It also features a selectable triangle winding for output. The software is compiled on the Windows platform and further development is made for it to be a cross-platform and be available for Mac and Linux. There are options for mesh processing in Cal3d2ogre, some includes producing a binary output instead of
XML files, this process involves creating an
XML mesh as the output for editing. In this option, users may opt to get a binary file output. The scale factor is also a part of the mesh process. This method though, is limited because users cannot provide different scaling for each. Many other options are available in the software, not only for mesh processing but for other methods as well.
